Transparency matters to us.
Veterinary services follow a nationwide uniform fee schedule. Clear, honest pricing matters to us, so we explain how the costs are made up. That way you can always understand what you are paying for.

What veterinary prices are based on.
The prices of a veterinary practice are not set freely. They follow the nationwide German Veterinary Fee Schedule (GOT). The GOT sets a range for every service, from the single to the triple rate.
In our regular consultation we charge on average 1.2 times the GOT rate. Every treatment is listed as an individual item, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
For treatments outside consultation hours, the GOT provides for an emergency service surcharge. This too is regulated uniformly nationwide.
Our principles when it comes to prices.

Why can't I find out a fixed price in advance?
Veterinary services are governed by the nationwide German Veterinary Fee Schedule (GOT). The exact effort involved in a treatment often only becomes clear during the examination. For plannable treatments, however, we are happy to prepare a cost estimate for you in advance.
What does 1.2 times the GOT rate mean?
The GOT sets a fee range for every veterinary service, from the single to the triple rate. In our regular consultation we charge on average 1.2 times the rate. This keeps costs fair and easy to understand.
Will I receive a cost estimate in advance?
Yes. Before plannable treatments we discuss the treatment options and their costs with you and, on request, prepare a cost estimate. That way there are no unexpected costs.
Why does treatment during the emergency service cost more?
For treatments outside regular consultation hours, the GOT provides for an emergency service surcharge. This rule applies nationwide to all veterinary practices.
Can I understand what I am paying for?
Yes. Every treatment is listed as a separate item on the invoice. This lets you see exactly which service accounts for which amount.
Does pet health insurance help with the costs?
Pet health insurance can cover part of the treatment costs. It can be particularly worthwhile for more complex treatments. You can find out more on our pet insurance page.
