What to expect

No two days are the same.

As a veterinary nurse you are the link between animal, owner and veterinarian. You take on responsibility step by step, as you grow into the role.

Right beside the animal

You hold and calm animals during examinations, assist with treatments and learn to read their signals.

Laboratory & diagnostics

Blood samples, rapid tests, the microscope: you gain an insight into our own laboratory and into modern diagnostics.

Supporting people

At reception, on the phone, in conversation: you give pet owners reassurance, especially when they are worried.

Is this right for you?

You do not need any special skills — just bring the motivation.

We will teach you the job. What matters to us is who you are:

  • You like animals. And also enjoy dealing with people
  • You are reliable and happy to roll up your sleeves
  • You have a good intermediate school leaving certificate, or are working towards one
  • You stay calm even when things get hectic

Not sure whether the job suits you? Do a work placement with us. The most honest way to find out.
